Verification isn’t a step in our process. It’s the entire product.
A lead is only a lead once it clears all four verification layers. If it doesn’t, we don’t send it. If we send one that fails, we replace or refund it. This page describes exactly what we check, how we check it, and what happens when a check fails.
FMCSA authority verification
Every lead includes both an MC number and a DOT number. Before delivery, both are cross-checked against the FMCSA SAFER database in real time. We verify that:
- The authority is active, not revoked, suspended, or out-of-service
- The registered legal name matches the name given on the form
- The authority is a for-hire operating authority, not a private authority
- Insurance filings (BMC-91, BMC-32 where applicable) are on record
What happens if it fails: The lead is rejected before delivery. You never see it. You don’t pay for it.
DOT #: 3456789
Legal name: MATCH
Authority status: ACTIVE
Type: FOR-HIRE MOTOR CARRIER
Insurance on file: YES
30-day operating history
Recent inspection state: OH
Public freight signal: PRESENT
Authority age: 3.2 years
Classification: ACTIVE OPERATOR
An active authority isn’t the same as an active carrier. A meaningful portion of registered MCs are shelf authorities — filed but not moving freight. We check for evidence of actual operation:
- Recent DOT inspections within the last 30–90 days
- Public freight and dispatch signals confirming active hauling
- Authority age — brand-new authorities are flagged separately and only included in your spec if you specifically factor for them
What happens if it fails: Lead is either re-routed to a different buyer whose spec includes new authorities, or discarded entirely. Not sent to you.
Contact deliverability
A verified authority with an unreachable contact is worthless to your BDR. Every lead is checked for:
- Phone: Carrier-level validation (not regex). Confirms the number is live, reachable, and correctly classified as mobile vs. landline vs. VoIP. VoIP-only leads are flagged.
- Phone verification: SMS one-time-password verification at the funnel step, confirming the person on the form controls the number.
- Email: SMTP-level deliverability check. Hard bounces, catch-all traps, and disposable-domain addresses are automatically rejected.
What happens if it fails: The lead is either re-verified through a secondary contact channel or discarded. Undeliverable contacts never reach your CRM.
SMS OTP: CONFIRMED

Email: DELIVERABLE
Email risk: LOW
Exclusivity & deduplication
Match against buyer’s existing book: NO MATCH
Delivery mode: EXCLUSIVE
Buyer of record: [YOUR COMPANY]
We do not operate an aggregator model. Every lead is sold to one buyer only, ever. Layer 04 enforces that:
- Every MC number is cross-referenced against our own prior-delivery log. If we’ve sold this carrier before, they don’t get sold again.
- At your option, we also cross-reference against your existing book at delivery. If the MC is already in your Salesforce, we don’t bill you for it.
- The delivery payload includes an explicit exclusivity flag with a timestamp, so the record is auditable.
What happens if it fails: The lead is either re-routed to a buyer whose criteria it matches, or refunded. You are only billed for leads that pass all four layers.
If a delivered lead fails any spec, you don’t pay for it.
Flag any spec failure in your rejection report within seven calendar days of delivery. We validate against our verification log and issue a credit or replacement in the current billing cycle. No forms, no committees, no waiting.
See it against your own spec.
Every factoring book is different. Send us yours and we’ll write the spec sheet, deliver a test package, and let the leads do the talking.
